catching up...

i'm going to be away from the blog for the rest of the week in order to catch-up on my post-vacation life...see you on monday.

in the meantime, enjoy this delightful cover of gotye's mega-hit from walk off the earth. (not hard to realize why they are getting tons of press for the talents displayed in this video.)

snow, minneapolis, etc.

despite the weather challenges...i power on vacation-style!

scenes from a vacation...livin' it up on MN/WI.

some moments from the trip so far. i am enjoying a bit of deja-vu...we are currently in the midst of a tornado warning and there is snow in the forecast for tonight. ohhh, the midwest.

leaving on a jet plane!

i am leaving for my MN vacation today...so the blogging will be unpredictable. BUT i will try to post some pictures of my beautiful homeland and all the wedding awesomeness...go heather and ed!

a picture and a poem

Often I Imagine the Earth by Dan Gerber
Often I imagine the earth
through the eyes of the atoms we’re made of—
atoms, peculiar
atoms everywhere—
no me, no you, no opinions,
no beginning, no middle, no end,
soaring together like those
ancient Chinese birds
hatched miraculously with only one wing,
helping each other fly home.

artistic appreciation: aaron moran!

canadian artist aaron moran has been popping up on pinterest lately and i just LOVE the colors and geometric shapes he uses...the work is abstract, but i also see it reflecting the natural world all around me.

just because...jose romussi creates cool art!

i kinda want these rays of light shooting off of me! that would be fantastic.

check out more work by jose here! and here!
(first seen on pinterest then found on here)

ahhh...monday: east-ah!
